Have you ever felt like you could just hit a do over button and restart your day, week, month etc?
Just when I thought that I was starting to mello out and be more relaxed about life I have an explosion of anxiety.
Life has just been so crazy lately and I feel like I am not in control. So yesterday I finally picked up my refill for my planner. I have actually been using it, or at least trying to use it, but as it is from Franklin Covey it runs out in April. Thus I began the process of writing things down, again and more completely. Isn't it just the worst when you double book yourself? Yes, I did manage to do that last week, luckily I was able to work that out.
It has been such a juggling act lately and it has been hard for me to adjust to Nate's crazy work schedule- some days I think, "Hello, it has been over 3 months why can't I figure this out!" So many things have been coming up and are pulling me in so many directions that I am going to try and stay organized and place limits on what I am willing to do each day that is not on my list- we will see how long this resolution lasts.

I remember when we were in San Jose, Jay would leave for work every morning at 6 am so he could get there before the morning rush. The theory was that he would come home about 4 and miss the afternoon rush. I swear that every meeting they ever scheduled started at 4pm! By the time he could leave it was always rush hour and took an hour and a half to get home instead of 40 minutes. Sometimes he would go straight to mutual from work because there was no time to come home. It was a challenge. Luckily, our schools were all really close. Otherwise, I don't know what I have done. Of course, the year Craig started Kindergarten, I only had from 10 am t0 noon when there were no kids going to or coming home from school. It was a challenge. Planners help a lot.
Isn't it funny how EVERYONE seems to feel that way, and how it's only getting worse?! I know that I feel crazy busy, but I also know that I am nowhere near as busy as many other people. It does help me to write things down, though. With everything - planning meals, budgeting, scheduling, goals - I do much better if it's written down somewhere.
