I've seen that robot before haven't I?

We took the kids to see Wall-E last night. They enjoyed it but not as much as Kung Fu Panda. It is a very different movie - a little more serious plot.

Anyway I have been trying to figure out why WALL-E seemed like such a familiar robot.
